IT Sourcing & Provider Manager (f/m/d)

Ihre Mission

As IT Sourcing & Provider Manager you are responsible for executing strategic and operational IT sourcing activities, maintaining strong vendor and provider relationships, and ensuring high-quality commercial and contractual outcomes.
You act as a stabilizing and experienced contributor within the team—and play a key part in shaping the maturity, efficiency, and professionalism of the IT purchasing function.

Your Role

  • Lead end-to-end IT sourcing initiatives for software, cloud, managed services, and IT services
  • Manage the full sourcing lifecycle including requirement clarification, market screening, RFI/RFP processes, bid evaluation, negotiations, and award recommendations
  • Conduct structured commercial negotiations with IT vendors, including dominant market providers
  • Manage IT contracts throughout the lifecycle (renewals, renegotiations, amendments, and terminations)
  • Ensure contractual and regulatory compliance in collaboration with Legal, Data Protection, and Information Security
  • Develop and maintain contract standards, sourcing templates, and negotiation best practices
  • Manage IT vendors and service providers through KPI/SLA monitoring and governance frameworks
  • Conduct regular provider performance and business reviews to ensure service quality and continuous improvement
  • Handle operational escalations and support long-term provider performance optimization
  • Perform market analysis, benchmarking, pricing assessments, and TCO/ROI evaluations
  • Critically review vendor proposals, business cases, and scope definitions to ensure commercial value
  • Support complex IT sourcing programs and transformation initiatives (e.g., migrations or infrastructure programs)
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders to align commercial and technical objectives
  • Prepare management-ready reports, presentations, and decision documents
  • Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing, sourcing playbooks, and process improvements

Your Profile and Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in IT sourcing, IT procurement, or vendor/provider management
  • Strong negotiation experience with major IT vendors, including suppliers in concentrated markets
  • Solid understanding of RFP processes, commercial evaluations, and IT contract structures (SLAs, KPIs, service credits, exit clauses)
  • Experience in provider governance, performance management, and service oversight
  • Strong analytical and structured working style with high attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and German (C1 or higher), with practical exposure to German contract law
